Moto Alliance says no other winch on the market claims an official IP67 waterproof rating, and that is the headline feature of the VIPER Elite. It's manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 facility using military-grade raw materials, with a sealed 12V DC 1.4-horsepower permanent magnet motor, a sealed 3-stage planetary metal gear train at a 136:1 ratio, and a sealed solenoid. Water gets in everywhere on a UTV; on this VIPER Elite 3500, it stays out.
Built for real pulls
The cam-activated clutch and automatic brake hold 100% of rated load, and the combination of mechanical and dynamic braking with the sealed solenoid keeps rope creep to a minimum. Line speed is 26 feet per minute with no load and 6 feet per minute at the full 3,500 pounds. For a 3,500-pound winch on an ATV or a mid-size UTV, that's plenty for self-recovery and for lifting a plow blade all winter.
