Size the winch to your machine's loaded weight, not the dry weight on the spec sheet. Synthetic rope is worth the upgrade over steel cable: lighter on the nose, safer if it lets go, and far easier to respool by hand. Check that the mount matches your front bumper — that's where most fitment problems happen.
