Moto Alliance FIRESTORM Cab Heater for the 2020-2026 Kawasaki Teryx KRX: 18,000 BTU From Your Own Radiator

A KRX is a machine people keep riding after the weather turns, which is exactly the problem. The cab is open, the windshield fogs from the inside, and by the second hour your hands are stiff enough that you are not steering as well as you think you are. You can layer up and you can run a cab enclosure, but neither one makes heat. The Moto Alliance FIRESTORM Cab Heater for the Kawasaki KRX does, and it does it with heat the engine is already throwing away.

Where the heat comes from

This is a liquid heater, not an electric one. It plumbs into the cooling system and runs a highly efficient heat exchanger capable of up to 18,000 BTU from your radiator at 0-125 CFM. There is a built in shutoff valve so you can close it off in summer without pulling the kit back out.

Eighteen thousand BTU is a lot of heat for a space that size — that is residential-furnace territory aimed at a two-seat cab. And because the heat is coolant heat, it costs you nothing in battery or charging system; the engine makes it whether you use it or not. The 0-125 CFM range is the fan, which is what you actually adjust ride to ride.

KRX-specific brackets and hoses

Moto Alliance builds the kit with custom installation brackets and hose lengths specific to your Kawasaki KRX, and includes all installation hardware and instructions.

That is the difference between this and a universal heater kit. Universal kits ship you a box of hose and generic tabs and leave the routing to you, which is how you end up with a heater core zip-tied somewhere it does not belong and a hose rubbing on the frame. Cut-to-length hoses and machine-specific brackets mean the parts land where they were designed to land.

The plumbing is built to survive the job too: automotive-grade radiator hose rated -40 to 120 degrees C and high performance alloy radiator Y connectors rather than plastic tees.

Vents, defrost and the OEM look

You get a custom OEM look with no visible heater core, dedicated driver and passenger vents, adjustable heat and fan speed with 360-degree vents, and two defrost vents to keep the windshield clear of snow and ice.

The defrost vents are the feature that earns the money. Heat on your feet is comfort; a clear windshield is safety, and a fogged windshield in a KRX is the single most common reason people stop riding in the cold. Dedicated passenger vents matter for the same reason they matter in a truck — the person in the right seat is not the one who gets to reach the dial.

Who it is for

Anybody who plows, hunts late, checks fence in January or just refuses to park the KRX for four months. Moto Alliance notes that FIRESTORM heaters were first to market nearly ten years ago, carry a fully registered USPTO trademark, and that all instructions are written in English by the American engineers who install the original prototypes themselves — and that they are available for tech questions before, during and after the purchase. For a job that involves cutting into your cooling system, a company that answers the phone is part of what you are buying.
