The KRX is a good platform that runs out of suspension before it runs out of engine. Push one hard through rocks and whoops and the limits show up in the same places every time: stock arms that bend when they shouldn't, a track too narrow to feel planted on side hills, and no room for the tire you actually want to run. The SuperATV Kawasaki Teryx KRX 1000 3" Long Travel Kit is the answer to all three at once, because it is not a lift — it is a total suspension replacement.
What it changes about the machine
The headline numbers are simple. The kit adds 3 inches to each side, which means your overall width goes up by 6 inches. That extra track is what makes a KRX stop feeling tippy in off-camber rock. It also makes room for tires as large as 34 inches — so the tire decision stops being a compromise.
What you end up with, in SuperATV's words, is a reinforced and gusseted suspension capable of handling abuse from the most gnarly trails. They are blunt about the feel: with bulletproof suspension components, heavy-duty tie rods, UHMW bushings, steel sleeves and Rhino 2.0 axles, it will feel like you have a brand new side-by-side.
The arms are the real product
Every long travel kit lives or dies on its arms, and this is where the money went:
- Tubed high-strength A-arms with fully adjustable pivot blocks, so you can dial camber in for ride quality instead of accepting whatever the geometry gives you
- Boxed high-clearance radius arms, also adjustable, running hefty 5/8" heim joints
- High-clearance steel trailing arms built from 1/8" steel plating with internal gussets
The A-arms and radius arms both arrive preadjusted to stock specs, so the machine is drivable the day you finish the install and you can tune from a known baseline rather than from scratch. Every suspension component in the kit has a bend in it for additional ground clearance, and all of them are covered by SuperATV's lifetime warranty on those parts.
Axles and tie rods, included
This is where a lot of long travel kits quietly leave you hanging. Longer arms mean longer axles, and stock axles at a new angle do not last. The SuperATV long travel kit includes four Rhino 2.0 axles — maximized CV joints in 4340 chromoly steel — so the drivetrain is sorted in the same box as the suspension.
You also get a heavy-duty tie rod kit with 6061-T6 billet aluminum shafts in a hex design. Steering gets stronger at the same time the front end gets wider, which is the right order to do those two things in.
Here is the full kit list:
- (4) High-clearance tubed A-arms
- (2) High-clearance rear trailing arms
- (2) High-clearance boxed radius arms
- (4) Rhino 2.0 axles
- (2) Heavy-duty tie rods and tie rod ends
- All required bushings and sleeves
- Extended brake lines
- All required hardware
Two things are not in the box, and SuperATV says so plainly: limit straps and track bars. Plan for those separately.
Ball joints: free labor if you want them
The kit works with your stock ball joints. If you would rather not run stock ball joints behind six inches of extra width — and most people would rather not — you can add SuperATV's Heavy-Duty 4340 or Super-Duty 300M ball joints at checkout, and they will press them into the arms for you at no extra cost. No press to buy, no shop visit, no fighting old joints out of new arms. It is the easiest upgrade decision in the whole order.
