A Pioneer 1000 is a work machine first, and that is exactly why owners run out of clearance before they run out of places to go. Loaded bed, stock ride height, and the skid plate finds every rock and stump on the property. A bracket lift raises the body, but it does not give you the tire clearance or the suspension geometry to go with it. The SuperATV 6" Lift Kit for the Honda Pioneer 1000 takes the other approach: a full six inches of lift built around high-clearance A-arms rather than relocated brackets.
What a true six-inch lift changes
SuperATV's own summary of the kit is short, and worth reading literally rather than as marketing:
- True big-lift geometry that adds major ground clearance and extra tire clearance
- Extended suspension components to support the taller, wider stance
- Heavy-duty extended axles matched to the new suspension geometry
- Wider track width for better stability at the new ride height
- Lifetime lift-kit warranty
The tire number is what most people want first: with the kit installed and set up properly, you can run up to 31-inch tires without rubbing. One note worth catching before you order wheels — a 1-inch wheel spacer is required if you want to run a 12-inch wheel.
The A-arms are doing the real work
This is where the kit splits by model year. 2016–2021 machines get 1.25-inch diameter chromoly A-arms, hand-welded, with tubing 25% larger than stock. 2022 and newer machines get upgraded to 1.5-inch Atlas Pro A-arms built from 38 mm steel tubing. Either way you are getting a high-clearance arm that moves the geometry, not just a spacer that moves the body.
Both versions use SuperATV's adjustable pivot blocks, which give you full camber adjustability. That is the part that matters once there are bigger tires on the machine: camber you can dial in is the difference between even wear and shaving the inside edges off a new set in one season. If you would rather not fiddle with them, they ship preadjusted to stock specs.
2022+ kits also include track bars. SuperATV builds them from thick steel tubing with heavy-duty heims and what they call Double Axis Tech, which keeps the suspension moving through full travel without binding. They bolt on with no welding, and they do not eat into the ground clearance you just paid for.
Axles, ball joints and the decisions at checkout
Every version of the Pioneer 1000 6" lift kit ships with four SuperATV Rhino 2.0 axles. Those are end-to-end 4340 chromoly with maximized CV joints — SuperATV rates them at twice the strength of stock and good for suspension angles of 40 degrees and up without overheating. They are precision made, so there is no break-in period, and they carry an 18-month warranty of their own.
Two things to decide before you check out. First, ball joints: you must re-use your stock ball joints unless you select a pre-installed ball joint option. SuperATV's heavy-duty joints are 4340 VAR steel, zinc-plated, adjustable, with easy-access grease zerks, and rated to withstand twice the force of a stock joint. The Keller joints use a two-piece design that threads onto the A-arm like a nut and bolt, so there is no snap ring to pull out — chromoly stud, tool-steel body, greaseable and rebuildable, and aimed at heavier machines on bigger tires. Second, preassembly: the preinstalled ball joint option saves both money and time in the garage.
