SuperATV BFT Suspension Kit for the Can-Am Defender HD10: 34-Inch Tires Without a Sky-High Lift

The Can-Am Defender HD10 is a work machine first, and most owners don't want to turn theirs into a monster truck just to fit bigger rubber. That is exactly the problem the SuperATV BFT Suspension Kit for the Can-Am Defender HD10 was built to solve: room for 34-inch tires with only a mild two-inch lift.

How the BFT kit clears big tires without a tall lift

Most of the clearance in this kit doesn't come from height at all. It comes from 2-inch forward-offset A-arms that push the front wheels out and forward and open up the room a big tire needs to turn. SuperATV then adds a modest 2-inch lift using shock brackets and billet aluminum spring spacers.

Keeping the lift low is the whole point. The Defender stays closer to its factory center of gravity, so it still feels planted with a loaded bed, and your CV angles never get pushed as far as a tall lift would push them. The A-arms are 1-1/4-inch DOM steel with high-clearance bends and CNC laser-cut brackets, and the geometry is adjustable so you can dial in camber once everything is bolted up.

What's in the box

  • Upper and lower front A-arms
  • Steering stop kit
  • 17-inch limit straps (not needed if you're running Rhino 2.0 axles)
  • Billet aluminum spring spacers and shock brackets
  • Shock bump stop, required only if you go all the way to 34-inch tires

Pick your ball joint, and let SuperATV press them in

Add ball joints to the order and SuperATV installs them into the A-arms for free before the kit ships, so you don't need a press or an afternoon of fighting old joints. All three options are greaseable with an accessible zerk and an adjustable steel-on-steel design:

  • Super Duty 300M — 300M grade steel, minimal narrowing at the neck, roughly 2.25 times stronger than stock.
  • Keller — a two-piece design that threads onto the A-arm like a nut and bolt, with no snap ring to pull out. Chromoly stud, tool-steel body, rebuildable.
  • Heavy-Duty — hardened 4340 VAR steel with zinc plating, tested to roughly double the pressure of an OEM joint.
